Have you ever wondered what the words narration, dictation and living books mean? Have you ever wanted to use 'real' books to teach your children instead of dry textbooks? Have you heard of Charlotte Mason and love her ideas of nature, art and picture study but just don't know how to implement them? Then this workshop, given by June Butchee, is for you. Even if you've just started homeschooling and are checking out all the options, this workshop is for you. Charlotte Mason has written several volumes on her time proven methods that have worked and are working with many children.

This two hour how-to workshop will get you started using Charlotte Mason's methods with real life examples. June has used Charlotte Mason's methods with all of her children from kindergarten through graduation. She will show you how to take a piece of literature and get your child narrating right away. She will provide examples of her children's work through their homeschooling years. June will talk about the subjects that are recommended by Charlotte Mason and resources for a curriculum for your children. There will be plenty of time for questions.

June Butchee has homeschooled her children for 22 years using Charlotte Mason's methods. She has been married for 30 years and has three homeschool graduates. She is the leader of the North Houston Charlotte Mason Support Group which has monthly moms' meetings to discuss Charlotte Mason's writings. June is also the author of 'Through the Years with Charlotte Mason', an account of what she did while teaching her own children complete with a list of books used for all subjects.
